This is the main subject that is required in almost all the career requirements of any students. The school has been doing well in the subject and an upward growth has been noted. Some of the requirements in the department are as follows:
- A geometrical set
- KNEC Mathematical tables 6th Edition
- A calculator at Form 3
- A 30 cm ruler
KCSE made familiar which is a very good revision material. The performance has been as follows:
2016 – 3.793
2017 – 4.326
2018 – 5.909
2019 – 4.693
- The performance in 2019 dropped but the department is addressing the issue. The department engages students every Monday in the afternoon for an hour to encourage students work and improve on the mean score.
- Other interventions will be setting up of Random Assessment Tests (RATs).
- Symposiums and Contests will be attended this year.
- Examiners will be invited to guide the students.
- Students are encouraged to do a lot of revision on their own to perfect on areas they find challenging.
